What is considered an active account?

An active account is one that has made proactive monetary transactions of any value (adding, sending, or withdrawing money), in-app purchases of any value (product marketplace or gift cards), received rewards equal to or above 1€, or maintained investment balances equal to or above 1€ (e.g., cryptocurrencies).

What is a maintenance fee?

A maintenance fee is a sum charged to users who haven't engaged in any proactive money transactions (adding or removing money from their account) or maintained any invested balance in cryptocurrencies for a given period of time.

Why do we charge maintenance fees?

To provide the qualitative and secure free service we offer, we employ teams and infrastructure that incur costs. We're happy to assume that cost for users who actively use our product. However, users who do not actively engage with our services but keep an open account will need to share some of that cost.

Monthly Fee Tiers

The following fees apply based on how long a user has remained inactive (note that Goin will never generate negative balances for users):

  • +6 months → 0.99€

  • +9 months → 1.99€

  • +12 months → 2.99€
